Sestercentennial Logo Design Contest
The Town of Buxton Sestercentennial Planning Committee is calling for submissions to be used as Buxton’s 250th logo designs. The chosen logos will be used in advertising, memorabilia, and promotion for Buxton’s Sestercentennial event. The dates for the Sestercentennial celebration are to be determined, however will be held during the summer of 2022.
Who can submit a design?
All Buxton residents are encouraged to turn in a logo submission. Artwork from non-residents will not be accepted.
Are there age-groupings for the contest?
Yes there are. We will be choosing a winner in three age groups; 10 and under, 11-17, and over 18. Winners will receive a credit towards free Sestercentennial memorabilia. All submissions will be put into a drawing for a 2020 Funtown/Splashtown Day Combo Pass. One winner will be drawn for each age group.
What is the required design criteria?
Submissions must be black and white, and can be a drawing or digital art.

Copies of the application can be picked up at the Buxton Recreation Department and the Buxton Town Hall. They can also be printed off on the Buxton Recreation Webiste at buxtonrec.com.
The submission deadline is January 31, 2020. There are three ways to turn them in:
1. Drop off artwork at the Buxton Recreation Department at 174 Portland Road.
2. Drop off artwork at the Buxton Town Hall at 185 Portland Road.
3. Mail artwork to: Buxton Recreation Department, 185 Portland Road, Buxton, Maine 04093
