Do you have a Little Chef who loves to help in the kitchen, and would like to learn some easy, healthy recipes? Sign them up for the Buxton Recreation cooking program! We will meet every Monday afternoon from 3:30-4:30 at the Eldon Store Building! We have a full kitchen at our disposal!
This class is open to all kids in grades 3-5! Children will be taught simple measuring and preparing skills, as well as food and kitchen safety. Emphasis will be on healthy foods, but we might sneak a treat or two into our lessons! No experience necessary!
**Please note, this is held at an off school site. There are two options for your child. Please notify the recreation department of what you would like to do:
1. You can pick your child up after school and bring them to the Eldon Store Building.
2. Your child can be dismissed at the bell to the Little Chef's Cooking Class, and walk with Nicole Welch, Recreation Director, on the sidewalks over to the building.
If your child is going to After Care once the program is over, Nicole will escort them via sidewalk back to the school.
